You’ve probably never heard about Malazè unless you are from Campi Flegrei. Even then you might not have. But this is the main reason for why I have come here.
Malazè is a EnoGastronomic festival with 10 days of events in the area of Campi Flegrei within four main themes; Myths and history, Nature, Flavours and Archaeology. All these events showcase the area with a special focus on the local food and wine, and it is absolutely amazing to be part of.
Before coming here, I didn’t really know what to expect from it, but now it has finally started and from September 5 to 15, I am jumping from event to event with the amazing photographer team Marina (photos) and Costantino (Video) – meanwhile I take care of taking pictures with my phone for live updates on the social media. If you want to stay updated, you should follow our Instagram account: Malaze_ or find us on Facebook.
I am learning so much about the area and its history along with tasting some of the best it has to offer in terms of food and wine. I love it.
Check it out and consider going next year. For now it’s mostly aimed at Italians, but we are working towards making it more international, and hopefully next year you will be able to find a lot of events in English.
Here is a selection of photos from the first couple of days
